Sunday's savings

This Christmas, instead of buying the normal useless presents that I always buy, I decided that I was going to give my foster mom much needed groceries. She has been struggling with making ends meet and what better thing to give than groceries. And since Ihave been doing such a good job with being thrifty, this works out for me.

At Food Lion, I got 10.11lbs of ground beef($14.96), steaks($2.82), 1 7up(FREE), 3 twin packs of Gerber baby food($1 for all), 1 Folgers gourmet coffee(FREE), and 1 Nestle Toll House white chocolate chips(FREE). I paid 19.38 and saved $17.35!!

At Bi-Lo, I got 2 Malt-O-Meals Tootie Fruities(FREE+overage of $0.26), 1 Hungry Jack pancake mix(FREE), 1 Hungry Jack pancake syrup($1.88), and 4.15lbs of pork chops($7.01). I paid $8.96 and saved $7.09!!

At Kroger, where I made the most savings, I got 4 Pillsbury Grands Biscuits($1.24 each), 4 Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls($1.19 each), 4 Pillsbury Crescent rolls($1.04 each), 2 Progresso Chicken broth($1.29 each), 2 Betty Crocker Frosting(FREE+$0.66 overage), 4 Progresso can soup($0.90 each), 2 Betty Crocker Warm Delights($0.39 each), 1 Bisquick pancake mix($1.99), 4 Green Giant box vegetables($0.25 each), 1 Oscar Meyer franks(FREE), 1 Oscar Meyer chopped ham lunch meat(FREE), 1 Vicks NyQuil($2.49), 1 Dawn foam soap($0.49), 1 Root Awakening shampoo($1.59), 2 Betty Crocker box Potatoes($0.49 each), 1 Betty Crocker cookie mix($0.80), 1 Nestle Toll House Chocolate chips($0.49), 1 Nestle Toll House refrigerated cookie dough($0.45), and 1 Scotch Fur Fighter(FREE+$2 overage). I paid $30.21 and saved $67.73!!!

At Publix, I got 1, 5lb bag of Dixie Crystal sugar($2.14), 1, 2 lb bag of Dixie Crystal brown sugar($1.14), 2 Buddig lunch meat($5 for both), 2, 4 pack Gerber Yogurt($2.98 for both), 1 Kraft Ranch($0.10), 2 Sprout baby food(FREE), 2 Meir tomatoe sauce(FREE+$0.22 overage), 1 scotch tape(FREE), 1 Hunts ketchup($0.48), 1 Green Works detergent($3.99), and 1 Barber stuffed chicken breasts($0.50). I paid $17.23 and saved $29.05!!!

So......all together, I spent $75.78 and saved $121.22!!!
